The patterned unit takes its form cellulose and cell wall. Cellulose is the constituent element of the wall which ensures the continuity and protection of the cell and also prevent cell from disperse. Form of cellulose is composed of twiggy structures which are scattered in various directions. However, since cellulose is also porous with huge empty spaces, we needed to find a different way to emphasize its features. Therefore, the surface of patterned unit was created by filling its inner space, keeping a solid-void balance. The pattern basically takes place from rotating the base unit by 60°. Following that, rotated units were pieced together to be a meaningful whole. Connected pieces defined a whole, with a solid-void linkage.
